Saturday

Conditions on Saturday morning might be slightly softer due to the 1-2 inches of snow that fell on Friday afternoon and Friday night, and the temperature on Saturday morning will be in the teens.

Skies on Saturday will be partly to mostly sunny and the high temperature will be near 30°F.

Here is a fun image from Saturday morning before sunrise, showing a layer of fog illuminated by the nearly full moon above and the lights of the town below.

Sunday

Sunday will be a mixed day with mostly cloudy skies, times of dry weather, and times of snow showers. The snow accumulation could be anything from a dusting to 2-3 inches. The temperature will be colder with a high of around 20°F.

Monday

Monday will be mostly sunny and warmer with a high of around 30°F.

Tuesday

Another weak storm may deliver snow, accumulating between a dusting to 2-3 inches. Temperatures will be cooler with a high in the 20s and skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.

Wednesday, December 18 - Monday, December 23

For the six days from Wednesday to the following Monday, we'll likely see dry weather with temperatures in the mid-20s to mid-30s.

December 24 and beyond…

The latest longer-range forecast models now show a higher chance for some snow from December 24-31. It's too soon to figure out the details, but at least the odds are increasing for snow at the end of the month.

And then in early January, the longest-range forecasts continue to show a higher chance for colder and stormier weather.

For now, we have a solid base thanks to snowfall in late November, and the low sun angle of December will continue to preserve our snowpack, so we're in an okay spot to make it through the next 10 days before (hopefully) more significant snow arrives.
