Monday

There will be 1-2 inches of new snow for first chair on Monday morning. This snow fell just before sunrise on Monday morning, just as the storm was forming over Colorado.

As I write this at 7 am, it is not snowing, and I expect just light additional accumulations through the rest of the day as the main band of snow will stay to the south of the mountain, and snow showers may form later in the midday and afternoon. Dress warmly as temperatures will be 5-10°F on the hill today.

Tuesday

There could be additional snow showers on Monday night into Tuesday morning, and snow totals could be anything from a dusting to 4+ inches. While temperatures may be too cold for a lot of additional snow, conditions could be correct for the upper half of the mountain to coax the atmosphere into producing more snow (due to a favorable wind from the west-northwest).

Other than the snow, conditions on Tuesday will be cold with a high in the single digits and mostly cloudy skies.

Wednesday & Thursday

Wednesday and Thursday will be partly cloudy with times of thin clouds filtering the sunshine, and temperatures will be warmer with daytime highs in the 20s.

Friday

Our next chance for snow will be on Thursday night into Friday morning and my early snow total estimate is in the 1-6 inch range. So, not a big storm, but maybe a nice little refresh on Friday morning.

Longer Range

The weather pattern through Christmas will not be favorable for significant storms, but there will be chances for some snow, likely around Sunday, December 15, and again around Wednesday, December 18. We have a solid base and the low sun angle of December will continue to preserve our snowpack, so we're in an okay spot for December, despite the likely lack of significant snowfall during the month, and hopefully we'll see a few refreshes between now and Christmas/Chanukkah.
