Sunday
Sunday will be yet another day with a morning inversion as temperatures at the base will be colder (0-10°F) with warmer air at the summit (20-25°F).
On Sunday, skies will be somewhat cloudy through midday, then the clouds should pass and skies should be sunnier during the afternoon. Also, temperatures will be a bit cooler than previous days and stay in the 20s, and winds will be somewhat gusty (15-30 mph) during the midday and afternoon.
Monday and Tuesday
On Monday and Tuesday, a storm will bring colder temperatures and likely some snow.
Dress warmly as temperatures will be in the single digits to low teens.
For snowfall, expect a few inches on Monday morning, then perhaps a lull on Monday midday/afternoon, with another few inches possible on Monday night through Tuesday. Total snowfall should be 2-5 inches, with a chance for higher amounts on the upper half of the mountain if we get a little surprise on Monday night and Tuesday (the surprise is possible as the temperature of ~5°F and a wind from the west are ideal conditions, though moisture will be lacking).
From a powder perspective, I do not think that Monday or Tuesday will be powder days, but a little new snow on groomers, on midweek days in early December, is usually pretty fun.
Longer Range
Wednesday and Thursday will be dry and partly sunny with a high temperature in the 20s on both days.
Then we'll have three chances for snow in the next week, though none of the storms has a high chance of bringing us a lot of snow.
The timing of the potential storms will be around Saturday, December 14, Monday, December 16, and Wednesday, December 18. Again, my expectations are low for total snowfall, but it would be nice to see more flakes.
In the meantime, we have a solid base, the low sun angle of early December will help to preserve our snowpack, so we're in an okay spot for early December, despite the dry weather that has followed Thanksgiving.
