And Then There Was One

Summary

Just one resort remains open in South America as we head into the last week of the month. There's a little bit of action in the weather department but nothing too exciting. We'll see some rain and snow showers today (Thursday) through Friday morning and then return to more dry Spring conditions.

Short Term Forecast

Both Valle Nevado and Corralco closed over the weekend. Volcan Osorno remains open through at least this weekend. Rain and snow showers will bring some messy conditions on Thursday, especially in the central zone. Overall no more than 10 cm are expected and only a few cms are likely at Volcan Osorno, as you can see in the latest snow forecast from the European model below.

Extended Forecast

More warm and dry weather is expected on Friday and will continue for the next week or so.

I'll have another update early next week and we'll see if Osorno stays open.

Thanks for reading the South America Daily Snow!
