7-Day Snow Forecast:

A snowy pattern remains on track for mid-March with several strong storms expected across the West over the next week. Tahoe ski resorts are likely to see the deepest snow totals with multiple feet of snow expected, but many other areas are going to receive significant snowfall as well.

Forecast for Wed (Mar 12) to Thu (Mar 13):

A broad storm system will impact nearly the entire West with heavy snow expected for many areas. In the East, a minor disturbance will bring light snow showers to Southern New England and the Northern Mid-Atlantic.

Forecast for Fri (Mar 14) to Sat (Mar 15):

Snow will continue across parts of the Rockies on Friday, then another storm will arrive on Friday night and Saturday with heavy snow expected across the Northwest.

A warm but dynamic storm system will impact the East with rain for most areas along with the potential for severe thunderstorms in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, while the Upper Midwest could see snow or mixed precipitation on the backside of the system.

Forecast for Sun (Mar 16) to Mon (Mar 17):

A storm will continue to impact the West with the Northwest, Northern Rockies, and Sierra favored for the deepest snow totals. The East will see rain on Sunday while light snow showers are possible over Michigan.

Outlook for Tue (Mar 18) to Sat (Mar 22):

An active pattern will continue across the West with the storm track favoring the Northwest and Northern/Central Rockies while Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Range will see a drying trend. Below-average temperatures are also expected for most of the West.

The East will remain in a milder pattern with occasional storms expected, which will likely produce more rain than snow.
