Saturday evening update

Summary

After all, the snow materialized on Friday night and Saturday, and Steamboat should see more flakes by Sunday mid-morning.

Update

This is a quick Saturday evening update...

The forecast was uncertain heading into this storm, but the high-resolution forecast models did okay (some were too high, forecasting 20 inches of snow) as mid-mountain and the summit received 3-4 inches of snow as of Saturday at 5am, and another 5-6 inches of snow accumulated during the day on Saturday, bringing the storm total to 8-10 inches.

This is the summit snow stake cam at about Saturday at 4pm.

For Saturday night and Sunday morning, snow could continue with another 2-6+ inches of accumulation, so there should be more fresh snow to enjoy on Sunday morning. Then I think that the snow will slow down or stop by about Sunday midday.

I'll write another update by Sunday morning.
