Saturday and Sunday

Saturday will be similar to Friday with cooler temperatures at the base in the morning, and then mostly sunny skies during the day with a high temperature in the mid-30s.

Sunday will also bring dry weather, though more clouds will filter the sunshine during the day, and the high temperature will be in the 30s.

Next Week

Next week, multiple storms from the Pacific Northwest should move through Colorado with a respectable total snowfall of potentially 6-12+ inches.

While no single storm in this series will likely bring significant/deep snow, the combination of light-to-moderate snow totals across 5+ days should create softer conditions.

• Monday/Tuesday (Dec 23-24). Light snow should fall from Monday morning through the afternoon, then there could be a period of more intense snow on Monday afternoon or Monday evening. I expect 3-6 inches of snow with potentially softer conditions on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.
  
  
• Wednesday (Dec 25). A stronger storm should track over southern Colorado, leaving the northern mountains with just lighter snow totals of 1-3 inches.
  
  
• Friday/Saturday (Dec 27-28). A single storm or multiple weaker storms may bring moderate snow totals, but the latest forecast data continues to trend a little lower. 
  
  
• Tuesday (Dec 31). This storm might be strong and bring cold air, but moisture could be lacking, leading to just lower snow totals.

I will continue to dial in the details of next week's snowfall, so stay tuned. Regardless of the amount of snow, at least some snow is better than no snow, and it will be good to see the flakes.
