Wednesday

Wednesday will be another day with a morning temperature inversion. Temperatures at the base will be colder (0-10°F) with warmer air at the summit (20-25°F).

The rest of Wednesday will be sunny with a high temperature in the low-to-mid-30s.

Also, uphill access opens on Wednesday, December 4.

Thursday to Saturday

The forecast is unchanged throughout the week. Thursday through Saturday will be dry and mostly sunny, and temperatures will be comfortable with daytime highs in the low-to-mid-30s.

Sunday, December 8 - Tuesday, December 10

Sunday will bring more clouds as a storm approaches, and the high temperature will be in the 20s.

From Sunday night to Monday, I am penciling in 2-7 inches of snow with the chance that Monday offers a little refresh (likely short of a true powder day). Dress warmly on Monday because the high temperature will be in the upper single digits to low teens.

Tuesday should be dry, though we may see clouds and snow flurries hang around, and the temperature will continue to be cool with a high in the teens.

Longer Range

The middle of next week is likely to be dry, then the next higher chance for snowfall will be around December 13-19. Most of the longer-range forecast models show a chance for storms around this mid-month period, but we are many days away from having confidence about the details, such as the strength and track of any incoming system.

In the meantime, we have a solid base, the low sun angle of early December will help to preserve our snowpack, and more terrain should open over the coming days and weeks, so we're in an okay spot for early December, despite the ten days of dry weather that is following Thanksgiving.
