Freshies on Wednesday morning!

Summary

On Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night, a fast-moving storm dropped 7 inches of snow, so Wednesday morning will offer some fresh turns with chilly temperatures in the teens.

Update

Tuesday started with dry weather, then the storm arrived during the afternoon and dropped snow through the night. The total snowfall on the mid-mountain snow stake was 7 inches, which was the highest amount that I could find in Colorado.

Wednesday morning will be a fun time to be on the hill with fresh snow on the runs, clearing skies, and a chilly temperature of 10-15°F to start the day. The afternoon high temperature will be warmer, rising into the upper 20s.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday will be sunny and warm with a high temperature in the upper 30s.

Then Saturday and Sunday will be mostly dry with a low chance for showers, and temperatures will be cooler with highs in the 20s.

Our next chance for a storm will be from Monday night through Wednesday morning. There is still a wide range of possible snow totals with some models showing no snow and others showing 6+ inches. A blended forecast is usually best, so we'll look for perhaps 2-6 inches of snow with some potential powder on Tuesday.

My next update will be on Thursday morning.
