Opening day on Friday, more snow on Saturday

Summary

We've seen 27 inches of snow this week which is perfect timing as opening day is tomorrow (Friday, November 8). The next chance for meaningful snow accumulations will be on Saturday.

Update

Wednesday was a mixed day with some snow showers, some breaks of sunshine, and temperatures that were cold enough to allow crews to make snow all day.

Now on Thursday morning, we're again seeing snow showers, and a mix of partial sunshine and snow showers should continue on Thursday and on Friday for opening day.

The next chance for snow will be on Saturday morning and midday as the current storm finally moves from its stalled location southwest of Colorado and tracks through eastern Colorado. I think we'll see 2-5 inches of snow on Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon, so there could be some powder to enjoy on the (likely) limited terrain on Saturday.

Temperatures on both Friday and Saturday will be comfortable with highs in the 20s.

Sunday and Monday will be dry and mostly sunny with high temperatures in the 30s.

Then the next storm should bring snow sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon.

My next update will be on Friday morning.
