Sunny through Sunday, then snow Monday into Tuesday

Summary

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be sunny and warm, then a storm will bring snow from midday Monday to midday Tuesday.

Update

Thursday

Thursday was sunny with a high ranging from the mid-30s to the low-40s. It was gorgeous!

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Clear skies during the day are here to stay for the next few days.

The high temperature on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will soar into the 40s and perhaps the low 50s. The only wrinkle in the forecast will be a few clouds and maybe a quick shower on Friday night.

With warm temperatures and clear skies each day, snow conditions will be typical of spring - crunchy in the morning, soft during the late morning and midday, and slushy later in the afternoon.

Snow Monday & Tuesday

A storm will bring snow from midday Monday to midday Tuesday, and my initial estimate for snowfall is 5-10+ inches, with most of that falling on Monday night.

Temperatures will be cold enough so that precipitation falls as snow (and not rain) across the mountain.

This amount of new snow could be enough snow for softer conditions on Tuesday morning on low-angle slopes or previously groomed runs (in other areas, the base will be crunchy).

Longer Range

For later next week through closing weekend, April 27-28, odds favor a return to dry and warm weather for most of the time, but there is still a chance that the forecast changes with moisture and cooler air lingering over Colorado. I'll keep you posted with updates each day.

My next update will be Saturday morning.
