The storm from Monday night through Tuesday ended with 9 inches for Breckenridge. The final forecast coming into the storm was 5-10 inches so I'm happy with how it played out.

Wednesday - Saturday

We'll now catch a short break from any precip on Wednesday, though gusty winds and increasing cloud coverage will stream overhead by early Wednesday afternoon.

Unsettled weather will then flow into Colorado from Thursday through Saturday. Expect high-elevation snow showers at times on Thursday and into Friday, followed by a decent shot for increasing snowfall rates on Friday night and into Saturday.

The rain/snow line will hover around 9-10,000 feet so expect a rain/snow mix near the base area and a denser snow quality on the skiable terrain. We'll go with 1-3 inches from Friday night through Saturday.

The storm should then begin to clear out on Saturday night and provide us with dry conditions on Sunday.

Sunday - Next Week

Partly sunny skies and mild temps will be the story on Sunday and this will likely remain the case through much of next week. Expect temps to climb well into the 40s each day and mostly light winds.

Looking further ahead, there are now hints of another chance for snow around the weekend of April 27/28 and this will likely be another high-elevation snow event.

I know many of you are ready for full-on spring but these moisture-rich storms are great for adding to our water supply and tampering down the wildfire risk as we quickly transition into summer.
