A lot of Sunshine and No Snow the next Wee While

Summary

Mild north-to-northwest winds will blow over the Australian Alps in the coming days as high pressure drifts away into the Tasman Sea. Skies should stay mostly clear, though some moisture from the Coral Sea could bring light rain to New South Wales resorts on Wednesday, but nothing significant.

Short Term Forecast

Monday to Thursday (12th to 15th)

There will be mostly nice weather Monday to Thursday this week along with mild north-to-northwest winds as a high moves eastwards over the Tasman Sea.

There's a small chance of a shower in Victoria on Tuesday afternoon, and New South Wales will likely see some rain on Wednesday, which will mostly fall during the morning before clearing out later in the day. Thursday will just have some high clouds with light winds.

Extended Forecast

We'll see some rain on Friday and Saturday as a low-pressure system slowly moves over the Australian Alps. As high-pressure returns, it might stay dry from Sunday into early next week. The next opportunity for snow could come in the latter part of next week when cooler, more unstable weather is expected.

Thanks for reading. I'll continue to provide these forecasts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the southern hemisphere season.
