November 2024 Snowpack Update

The snowpack is very healthy across much of the Western US as of mid-November 2024 thanks to a significant storm cycle in early November and a train of storms across the Pacific Northwest.

The map below shows the percentage of snowpack compared to the 1991-2020 median snowpack for November 13, 2024. Red is well below normal, yellow and green are below to near normal, and blue is well above normal. This map is based on the weight of the snow on the ground, measured by automated backcountry weather stations called SNOTEL.
