Thursday Recap

Thursday's showers dropped 2-3 inches of snow across the mountain during the afternoon and evening. This should keep conditions soft-ish on Friday morning.

Storm #3

The third and final storm of the week will bring snow to Colorado from Friday midday through Saturday mid-morning.

My previous forecast has not changed very much.

The storm will track far to the south of Colorado, which is not ideal for the snowfall in the northern mountains. And with storm energy wobbling around Colorado, I only have moderate confidence in the forecast.

My best estimate is for 1-3 inches of snow from Friday midday through Saturday morning, which means that there could be some new snow for Friday's last chair with the potential for soft conditions on Saturday morning.

Note - with a wind from the east, the summit could experience gusty winds from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning, and this could negatively impact the snow quality.

Longer Range

All of the longer-range forecast models agree - it'll be a return to spring conditions for most days from Sunday, April 6, through about Monday, April 14.

During this time, expect mostly sunny skies and warm high temperatures in the 40s and 50s. 

The only chances for a bit of weather (clouds, wind, flakes) will be around April 8-9 and again around the week of April 14-18.
